Le poste

1.    CONTEXT

 SODEICO Sarl, a company specializing in the recruitment and placement of qualified personnel, is recruiting for one of its clients a Corporate Manager, who will be responsible for the safety of the working environment (mentally and physically) for the company’s employees, the company’s financial accountability, the HR strategy and any other administrative functions of the company which will facilitate the efficiency and timely realizations of organizational financial and non-financial goals and Tax management.

3.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • To manage the accounting department
  • To manage the HR & Administration department
  • Tax situation according to the law

Functional Responsibilities:

  • General Role
  • Corporate manager will implement preventive and pre-emptive measures and procedures in order to ensure the safety of the physical and mental working environment for all of the company’s employees.
  • The physical working environment includes but is not limited to ensuring work place safety both in office and in the field.
  • The mental working environment includes but is not limited to creating a positive
  • Environment and ensuring compliance by the company and its employees.
  • The Corporate Manager will work across the organization with those even not in them direct report such as the Operational Manager and Leaders, in order to maintain good communication.
  • Establish and train teams where necessary, and train all employees for specific workflows and procedures when required

Tax & Accounting

  • Ensure the timely preparation and execution of the monthly financial close process while paying special attention to accuracy and WASSHA Group timelines. The financial close process includes the financial statements such as the Income statement, Statement of financial position (Balance Sheet), cash flow and any other that may be required.
  • Ensure statutory obligations (such as CNSS, IPR, INPP, ONEM, IERE) are filed by the accountant in a timely manner to ensure there are no penalties.
  • Coordinate with Auditors, Bankers, Lawyers and any other external parties and align strategies with the General Manager and Head office.
  • Create a workflow and ensure the smooth flow of accounting. This will include usage of softwares such as QuickBooks and Syscohada for bookkeeping and Jobcan for payment applications.
  • Monitor the necessity and ensure the timely approval and follow through on all payments raised (such as Jobcan), including the communication with the banks.
  • Liaise with the WASSHA Group tax and accounting group where necessary.
  • Instruct and manage the Tax and Accounting department.

HR

  • Understand the company strategy and build the human resource plan with the General Manager. Liaise with department heads to identify human resource gaps and actively propose and communicate to the General Manager.
  • Manage the recruitment process to ensure a smooth and fair procedure as per the company policies, as well as recruiting capable people who matches the job description and maintain the retention rate.
  • Manage the employee evaluation process and build a career path for each staff to maximize their potential in tandem with the company growth and strategy.
  • Coordinate with the WASSHA Group HR strategy (if any) in order to implement and align with the General Manager.
  • Formulate templates of documents to be used in the HR functions and forward them to

GM and HQ for approval

  • Instruct and manage the HR & Admin department on all HR & Admin related functions.
  • Actively be sensitive for any compliance related issues (such as harassment) which may arise.

Admin

  • Manage legal risks of the company, and be compliant with the Company Law in DRC.
  • Manage office supplies and a smooth operation of the office and the company.
  • Manage any logistics of employees and the office where necessary.

4.    BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Technical

-       Good working knowledge of tax & and Accounting,

-       HR & Administration and health & safety regulatory requirements

-       Good understanding of excel

-       Good report writing skills

-       Good presentation skills

Functional

-       Knowledge and understanding of peripheral laws (including DRC's company law)

-       Knowledge and understanding of DRC Tax & company’s Act

-       Knowledge and understanding of accounting principal (and local)

Behavioral

-       Leadership and managerial skills.

-       Proactively think and efficiently propose and discuss on strategy and procedures.

-       Ability to work in harmony with rest of the departments to achieve organizational

goals.

5.     QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Bachelor degree in accounting and Financeor any similar discipline

- General experience of at least five-year as an accountant manager

- Specific experience of at least three years as corporate manager or above in a business company (more

- Work experience in retail and distribution in FMCG industry

-  Work experience in solar off grid industry

-  Local CPA

-  Knowledge and understanding of local Tax Act

-  Knowledge and understanding of accounting principal (IFRS and local GAAP)

-  Knowledge and understanding of peripheral laws (including local company law)

-  Experience in preparing financial statements (profit loss, balancesheet, cash flow) in accrual basis

6.    LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

-   Excellent command of English and good knowledge of French (written and spoken).

7.   Computer Skills

-       Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, Odoo, …)
