1. CONTEXT
SODEICO Sarl, a company specializing in the recruitment and placement of qualified personnel, is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients operating in the service sector.
In this context, SODEICO is looking for a VALUE PROPOSITION SPECIALIST The Value Proposition Specialist is responsible for designing and supporting the execution of compelling, customer-centric value propositions that align with Vodacom Business Unit’s (VBU) Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. This role works closely with the Value Proposition Manager to translate business goals and customer insights into tailored solutions for various enterprise segments including SMEs, Large Enterprises, and Public Sector clients.
The incumbent will contribute to driving commercial growth by creating high-impact propositions, coordinating with CVM and marketing to support customer acquisition and retention efforts, and enhancing customer experience on delivered services. This role plays a vital link between market intelligence, product strategy, and execution, ensuring propositions are clearly defined, effectively communicated, and consistently refined based on feedback and performance.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Design and refine customer-centric value propositions for new and existing products and services (e.g., mobile, fixed, IoT, enterprise solutions);
- Aligning propositions with customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities;
- Support the creation and implementation of end-to-end GTM plans for new and existing products and services;
- Ensure value propositions are integrated into GTM activities and aligned with customer needs and strategic business objectives;
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure feasibility and consistency of the value proposition across touchpoints;
- Monitor service delivery experience and identify opportunities to improve customer journey;
- Provide input into service design to ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction;
- Evaluate customer feedback and translate into actionable improvements in proposition and service delivery;
- Build segment-specific value propositions for VBU segments with tailored messaging and bundling;
- Conduct competitor benchmarking, market research and customer trend analysis to shape proposition strategy;
- Equip Sales with the right messaging and value narrative to enhance customer understanding and adoption;
- The role also includes conducting customer value management (CVM) analytics and proposing targeted campaigns aimed at increasing revenue from the existing customer base;
- Develop value selling tools, pitch decks, and customer-facing materials.
4. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
- Fluent in French and a good working knowledge of English will be an added advantage;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to simplify complex technical offerings into business value narratives;
- Deep understanding of telecom B2B customer behavior and decision-making processes;
- Proven ability to articulate compelling value propositions and market differentiators;
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and derive commercial insights;
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (product, sales, CVM, marketing);
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Demonstrated success in launching and/or repositioning products based on strong value propositions;
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial practicality in a dynamic market.
5. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or related field.
